Two doves frequented my garden, and they always sat on the same rock I enjoyed their company and so I decided to paint them in their tranquil surroundings. Doves are a very beautiful and delicate bird, with exquisite feather detail.
I went to see them the next day to see how they compared to my painting. On the ground next to the rock was a pile of dove feathers. A Coopers hawk had shattered their tranquility. The cycle of nature goes on.
