By immersing herself in the environment, the artist can create images of scenes that never where, but that could have been.
The relationship between nature and humanity constantly evolves, and I am compelled to analyze this ever fluctuating, and rarely peaceful, co-existence. Human dwellings rapidly expand into wild habitats and impact natural environments. Human priorities take precedence over the needs of most native species. Our natural resources are consumed for economic growth. As we integrate nature into our increasingly urban existence, we are sometimes left with only fragments of nature, confined into smaller and smaller habitats. Conflicts arise and strange relationships develop.
All creatures on the planet are connected in the global network of living things. We are bound together in the ultimate web of life, which I call Nature’s Network.
