As we walk down a trail in the Rainforest, the natural world is all around us. It is from the forest floor perspective that we see the environment and we relate to that perspective. But when I climb to the treetops of the rainforest, I discover a miniature world, known only to those that can climb a tree or have the power to fly.
The creatures in the tree top environment have a very different point of reference than the one we know. In this integrated world above ground, we are seen as small insignificant beings, limited to the forest floor. From their point of view, the real world exists only in the tree tops.
In this painting, the tree top dwellers look down on two humans, far below on the forest floor.
